Round Robin Challenge: Fabulous Freaks Of Nature

Hello Robins :)

This Challenge Is Now Closed. Thanks For Playing :)
We have a new challenge for you! Meg, author of the blog, "In Quest Of" has decided "Fabulous Freaks Of Nature," will be our new challenge subject. Her concept is to have us show off unusual natural finds, such as " an oddly grown tomato, a weird tree, six toes on a puppy... you get the idea." Yeah, like 8 knees on an elephant, or someone who actually looks like a Picasso painting, or maybe even a monkey with male pattern baldness, or a kangaroo with three left feet! Oh, oh, I know... a hummingbird that knows the words. Tee Hee. :) Now, "if for some reason you can't seem to find a local FREAK OF NATURE, that is odd or funny enough to strike our fancy, then post your best shot of butterflies... beautiful butterflies."

Cool... sounds like a lot of fun! And when will all the displays of photographic genius take place? Glad you asked. Circle Wednesday, June 13th, as the date for this challenge. As always, you can post your entry any time between the midnights of that day, or if need be, up to one week after the date of the challenge. It's always best to try and post your challenge on the scheduled date, as that is when you are most likely to have your entry be seen. If you have to post your entry late, just leave the date you will be planning to post when you R.S.V.P to play. IMPORTANT: DO NOT POST YOUR ENTRY EARLY!!! That's a big NO-NO!

When you sign up to play a challenge, please use the following format...

I want to play (Or a similar message)

Ellipsis... Suddenly Carly

There. That's all there is to it. If you have any questions, feel free to email either Steven, Karen or myself, and one of us will respond A.S.A.P. :) Now, go get your creative on, go be photographers, go find those FABULOUS FREAKS OF NATURE, or butterflies... beautiful butterflies, and come back here on Wednesday, June 13th! :)

Round Robin Challenge: Mailbox (for May 30, 2007)

Greetings Robins! Time for the next challenge. Photograph a mailbox! The topic was brought to us by Gattina who blogs at KEYHOLE PICTURES. The photo to the left is by Gattina as well. It's a theme we all have within reach plus there is a wide range of design to the boxes themselves. If you are looking for inspiration, mailboxes are a common subject with photography too!

This challenge is now closed. Thank you for playing. :)
For the week of May 30th, the theme is:
“Mailbox”

Do visit the rules of play if it's your first time playing or have sat out a few rounds.

Questions? Sing out in comments or give Carly, Karen or me a shout!

* Karen: mavarin[at]aol.com
* Carly: ondinemonet[at]aol.com
* Steven: steven.emmett[at]gmail.com

Go ahead and R.S.V.P. in comments. Follow my example. Now go be photographers and return on May 30th to share your personal challenge!

Round Robin Challenge: Pink (for May 16, 2007)

This challenge is now closed. Thanks for playing.

Hi, Robins! It's time to announce the next Round Robin Photo Challenge. This one comes to us from Renee of Ode to the Muse. She offered up several great ideas, and the one we're going with this time is "Pink"!

As Renee says, "pink is pretty!" We see the color all around us, on skin and on lips, on delicate petals and plastic Barbie furniture, and lots of other places besides. Pink represents the feminine (pink for girls, blue for boys), and on a triangle it means something rather different. Pink is the color of breast cancer awareness, and part of the palate of Santa Fe and Fab Fifties styles. Pink can be flashy and psychedelic, or as subtle as sand. So go have fun with it! Find us something that's pretty in pink, and get ready to post it on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. As always, you can post up to six days later if necessary, but it's better if you post on that day, so that everyone will see your entry. Please do not post early!

You know the rest of the spiel, right? Please RSVP in the comments if you plan to play along, thus:
I'm tickled pink to play!

And when you post, please include a link back here, or to your fellow Robins, or both! Got it? Good! Now, go be photographers!

Spring Meme Housekeeping

Sunday, March 20, 2005Greeting Robins!
As Karen, Carly and I got ready for the anniversary of the Round Robin, we decided to do a little spring cleaning! We've been working on a reorganized participant blogroll, along with updating of all our lists.

There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make the Round Robin happen. And we can’t do it without you! Take a moment to look over the participant blogroll. Are you listed? Is your blog URL current? Let us know and we’ll make it right.

The participant blogroll helps us keep track of who selects the next challenge. Some of you are here every challenge, some of you check in every so often and some try us out once or twice. We’d like to reward those who participate, so the participant blogroll will reflect those who participate.

It’s easy to participate even if you’ve sat out a few rounds. We keep a complete list so don’t fret if you’ve moved on or want to jump back in again with the Round Robin.

Some of you have been contacted about a current email address. Don’t worry, the email address helps us contact you when it’s your turn to select the challenge. If you have your email listed on your blog that is a big help to us. Some of you are hard to find!

Send us an email if you are worried about us not having your current email.

That is pretty much it for our springtime Round Robin housekeeping. Of course in a few months we’ll need to polish up again and we’ll be asking for your help.

Karen, Carly and I would like to thank you for making it easy to keep offering the Round Robin Challenges. We can’t do it without you, your cameras and your challenges!
