Round Robin Challenge: Laisser le Bon Temps Rouler (Let The Good Times Roll)

Hello Robins :) This challenge is now closed! Thanks for playing. :)

How cool is this? Tess, author of the journal, "First Digital Photos," has chosen as our next Round Robin subject, Laisser le Bon Temps Rouler or Let The Good Times Roll. There are many holidays coming up, that offer a chance to showcase how each of us has a good time. Today, for example, the entire town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania will celebrate Groundhog Day along with the cutest little weather forcaster, Punxsutawney Phil. Imagine that! A whole town, and the world really, waiting to hear if we will have a longer or shorter winter all based on whether or not Phil sees his shadow! Then, once it is determined the celebrations begin. How much fun is that? :)

And how about Mardi Gras? That is one of the most "kick up your heels and let the good times roll" celebrations if ever there was one! Tess sent me some very cool information that I will pass on to you regarding Mardi Gras. "As her identity is announced, two weeks before Mardi Gras, the Queen of Carnival makes the proclamation and then permission is granted to let the merry-making begin!" So, Tess says to you..."Avoir du bon temps! Et puis, bonne chance!" (To have a good time and then good luck!)

Sounds good to me; who couldn't use some good times right about now? We have Super Bowl Sunday, on Sunday, February 4th. It's always fun to invite good friends over for special Super Bowl nibbles. Take a photo of your Super Bowl celebrations, even if it is just the tidbits your prepare especially for the big day. Don't forget that Valentine's Day is on Tuesday, February 14th, just one day before this challenge, so that could also me a good way to show yourself or someone else enjoying themselves such as at a party or fancy dinner. Maybe you will be cooking a special dinner or dessert for your sweetie. How ever you choose to have fun, and it is really all up to you and your imagination, all of your interpretations are very welcome.

Now, I want to remind you to please, read the WELCOME ENTRY & RULES OF PLAY. Some of our rules have changed since we moved from AOL to Blogspot. It would be a great help if everyone tried to follow the rules as we have them posted so that everyone has the same chance to have their entries be seen. Here are just a few of the most important guidelines to follow...

1. Please DO NOT post your entries early! It doesn't seem fair to post earlier then the person who decides what our subject will be. If for some reason you know that you won't be able to play along on the scheduled day, just drop either Karen or myself and email and we can make arrangements for you. You can also post your entry up to ONE WEEK following the challenge date.

2. When you sign up to play a Round Robin, you MUST include your name, the FULL URL of your journal, and the correct name of your journal, even if you have played before. It is the best way to be sure no mistakes are made. We want everyone to have the best chance of having their entries seen.

Ok...Go be photographers! See you on Wednesday, February 15th. :)
