Round Robin Challenge: "Ye Ole Watering Hole"

This challenge is now closed. Thanks for playing! :)

Note: entries for the following Challenge should be posted on Wednesday, July 26th. PLEASE DO NOT POST EARLY! See below for details.

Hi, Robins! Our next Challenge is the brainchild of Maryanne, author of the blog Inside the Gilded Cage. It's another fun one: "Ye Old Watering Hole."

So! Are you thirsty? I know I am! When you want something cool to drink on a hot day, or hot to drink on a cool day, where do you go? Is it a favorite neighborhood bar? An old-fashioned soda fountain or diner? Do you go to Starbucks for a Frapuccino? Maybe the Dairy Queen for an ice cream float? Or perhaps you like to fix up something special yourself!

Wherever it is you like to go to wet your whistle, grab your camera, and bring us back some pictures! The challenge date is Wednesday, July 26th. As we said at the top of this entry, please do not post it early. Starting with this challenge, we will remove links to entries posted before the challenge date, unless special arrangements are made in advance.

Now, we have two other new rules, to make things a little easier on everyone:

1. Please do NOT paste the text of this entry, or any of the Challenge entries, into your own blog. It confuses people, makes your entry extra long, and often makes it seem as though you wrote the bit you're pasting. Instead, please just state the name of the topic, and explain in your own words what it means to you. All righty? Please do paste in the Linking List, or at least a link to this entry, And yes, you're welcome to use the Round Robin bird logo. But the rest of the text posted here is off limits. Sorry, but some of the quoting has gotten out of hand.

2. If you RSVP and do NOT post, your link will be removed from the Linking List once the challenge has ended. That deadline is a week after the challenge date. It's not fair to others for them to click on your link, and not find a Round Robin entry. We're happy to say that that did NOT happen this time, but it has in the past.

The other rule we want to mention is the same one we always mention. If you plan to participate, please RSVP in the comments to this blog. To make everything clear and easy, the format should be exactly this:

First Name
Name of the blog of journal where you will be posting
URL of that journal

(plus anything else you want to say, such as "Hi! I'm in!").

If you post your Round Robin entries to two blogs, be sure to list the title and URL of both. Don't make us guess which one you're using!

And of course, if you have any questions, we're just an email away:

Karen: mavarin@aol.com
Carly: ondinemonet@aol.com

Okay? Okay! Please see the Welcome entry for details on all this rules stuff. And then, as we like to say around here, go be photographers!
